Flowering shrubs
Kolkwitzia amabilis, also (very appropriately) known as beauty bush. A member of the honeysuckle family from China that always produces a fine display of flowers at this time of year.
Solanum crispum Glasnevin - easy to grow and massively floriferous
Cornus kousa
