Ripening Gooseberries

These will go deep purple when they're ripe, but just now they are still translucent and almost glow in the sun.

  1. Lovely images, I haven't eaten a Gooseberry for years though when I was a child I used to like them under-ripe and raw.

  2. Risky to eat too many, but they do make a very good fruit base for chutney....
