It may have been a mistake to introduce wild garlic (aka ramsons) into the garden - it's turning up some way away from the spot where I originally planted it. Time to try cooking with it, I think....
Welsh poppy Mecanopsis cambrica seeds itself everywhere and some of the seedlings have been displaying a pleasing hint of orange around the edge of their petals. You can explore its flower in more detail here.
More exquisite pics from you... love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn, there's so much going on in the garden at the moment that it's hard to decide what to photograoh first!
ReplyDeleteMy Wild Garlic has almost finished now. You can make Pesto with it, there is a recipe on the River Cottage web-site. My favourite way to eat it is to shred some leaves and add them to mashed potato. The flowers are a lovely addition to salads too.
