Welcome

This blog, mostly photographs with little text, is a record of another year in the life of our garden. For the derivation of the title 'Insnared with Flowers' (original spelling) click here.

Kitchen Garden

Broad beans, sown late, have finally got into their stride...

A deceptively heavy crop of Doyenne de Comice pears - most of these are destined to fall off, but if I just get a couple to eat I'll be pleased.
Excellent fruit set on the gooseberries, but drought conditions will mean small fruit (but maybe sweeter?)

Rhubarb flowers

  1. All I've sown this year is tomatoes but now that my garden is being cleared by the lovely Richard I can plan for harvest next year.

    Rhubarb flowers are beautifully delicate.
