Living Stones and Old Man cactus
Living Stones (Lithops sp.) flowering in the conservatory...
... and the old man cactus Cephalocactus senilis, which so far (after 8 years) still hasn't flowered .... according to the books I may have to wait another decade.
I'm going to hang on in there until the old man cactus performs! Living stones are quite easy to grow from seed and take about three years to flower - they need to be kept bone dry in winter, otherwise they rot off.
Gosh, the living stones are amazing, not seen those before. Have you the patience to wait for the Old Man to flower?
